Julie Wallace Exhibits New Works at Arlington Central Library

ARLINGTON, Va. — Arlington Public Library will host a new exhibition of works by local artist Julie B. Wallace at the Central Library from January 5 through April 12, 2026. The exhibit features Wallace’s vibrant and illustrative pieces celebrating simple pleasures and imaginative slices of everyday life. The display is free and open to the public during regular library hours at Central Library’s second-floor space, known as “The Point”.

Wallace, a member of the Arlington Artists Alliance, is known for her expressive use of color and visual storytelling in portraying scenes of womanhood, domesticity and day-to-day moments.

“I’m excited to share these whimsical stories hidden in ordinary corners of life… my hope is that visitors will find joy in the colorful everyday moments captured in my work.”

– Julie Wallace

An artist meet-and-greet event is planned for Sunday February 22nd at 10am. This informal reception will give visitors an opportunity to meet Julie Wallace, discuss her creative process, and learn more about the inspiration behind her artwork. The exhibition is presented as part of Arlington Public Library’s Art at the Library program, an initiative that spotlights local artists and fosters community engagement through art.
